What Are You Looking At

Before moving into the gallery I had a show there first . In this series I made drawings of animals that are looking straight at the viewer in an almost confronting manner what a " what are you looking at?" look on their faces and I added an article of clothing on them to add to the ridiculousness. This series came about after feeling like I was constantly looked at as a novelty in the town that I was living in . Taiwan in general is a very homogenous country , there isn't much variation when it comes to skin color or hair color or body type in the general population so being of Indian genetic background I stuck out like a sore thumb. These drawings were a response to that.
